Workforce Development Coordinator for English Language Learners
Pathways to Graduation is an alternative education program that serves students ages 17-21 who are working toward their high school equivalency diploma (formerly GED). Over 30% of our students are newcomers with varying literacy and academic levels. The WFD coordinator would be a full-time DOE employee with complete benefits and competitive salary. They would develop and facilitate work-readiness training courses for emergent bilingual students using ESL and bilingual strategies, working closely with teachers, counselors, social workers, APs, principals, and students. Applicants must have a background in bilingual ed or TESOL and a passion for developing internship and other opportunities for newcomer youth! Resumes may be sent to Sarah Cacicio at firstname.lastname@example.org.
