TECH-FELLOW program Fall 2014

This position requires the Tech-Fellow to support faculty with the TC Apps offered at TC, Moodle, Google Apps for Education, Web Conferencing with Adobe Connect, Second Life, Alfresco, Mahara, etc.) as well as with the SmartBoard, Video content development software (i.e. Captivate.) and Lecture Capture..

The Tech-Fellow will help faculty with their courses as well as prepare on-line and off line help documentation, test platforms and lead workshops to demonstrate how the platforms can be used effectively.

This would be someone whose technology and communicative skills are strong, but more importantly, someone who is highly motivated to learn and work with state of the art systems and experiment with new technologies.

We are looking for an excellent communicator, a good collaborator, a quick independent learner, a reliable and flexible individual. Our goal is to maintain a cohort of students with advanced knowledge and expertise in technology who learn and work collaboratively as well as independently.

We trust that by working with faculty, the Tech-Fellow can identify and communicate effective pedagogy using new technologies, propose enhancements and improvements.

Time commitment is 17 hours a week, attendance to training and weekly meetings sessions are mandatory.

There will be a stipend and tuition exemption associated with this position.
