Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the welfare, safety and educational achievements of students;
  • Collaborate with co-teacher to deliver LAMB Upper el. Curriculum.
  • Collaborate with co-teacher to arrange and maintain the Montessori classroom conducive to learning.
  • Devlope Montessori materials in target Language with school materials.
  • Maintain records of children’s progress in the Montessori classroom with an emphasis on development of two languages.
  • Work with the Spanish co-teacher to plan for instruction, field trips, and special activities in the classroom.
  • Participate in parent conferences, meetings and communication throughout school year in accordance with school policy;
  • Follow procedures for special education, incident reports, and suspicion of child abuse and neglect.
  • Work with students of various abilities assigned to the classroom, including those with learning differences as diagnosed; participate in meetings, training and planning cooperatives to fully serve each child’s needs;
  • Understand and promote the school’s mission, purposes and objectives and policies to parents in a positive and supportive manner.
