A Source4Teachers long-term elementary bilingual/bicultural English as a second language teacher provides continuity in the absence of the regular teacher by facilitating success and growth in students’ academic and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate must create a flexible, safe, and optimal learning environment, document student progress, address the individual needs of students, and communicate effectively with students, parents, administration, faculty, and staff.


• Administer core curriculum consistent with school district goals and objectives objectives
• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials; translate lesson plans into learning experiences to develop pertinent sequential assignments and best utilize the available time for instruction
• Conduct ongoing assessment of student learning and progress and modify instructional methods to fit individual student’s needs, including students with special needs; incorporate individual and small group instruction
• Organize and maintain a system for accurate and complete record-keeping, grading, and reporting for all student activities, achievements, and attendance as required by district procedures
• Communicate effectively with administration, faculty, staff, students, parents, and Source4Teachers
• Enforce standards of student behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere
• Establish and maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment; take all reasonable precautions to protect students, facilities, and materials
• Coordinate with other professional staff members and participate in faculty meetings, if requested to attend
• Maintain professional competence through participation in in-service professional development activities provided by the district, if requested to attend
• Understand and adhere to all Source4Teachers and school district policies and procedures
• Demonstrate cooperation and flexibility in performing other related duties as assigned by school administration and

• Valid New Jersey Standard, CEAS, or CE Certification in Elementary and Bilingual/Bicultural studies and English as a Second Language
• A valid New Jersey Criminal History letter
