Assistant Teaching Positions for the 2014-2015 School Year
Hollingworth Preschool is a program of The Hollingworth Center in the Department of Curriculum and Teaching at Teachers College. The program serves 36 children ages three, four, and five in two half-day sessions. Applications are currently being accepted for assistant teaching positions for the 2014-2015 school year.

General Responsibilities:
To work collaboratively with the preschool’s director and teaching faculty to implement the preschool’s child responsive curriculum.

Specific Duties:
Work collaboratively with the head teacher in the day-to-day running of the classroom
Work collaboratively on curriculum design, planning and implementation
Maintain the classroom environment
Attend faculty meetings and professional development workshops

Experience with young children (formal or informal)
Ability to work collaboratively with a teaching team
Desire to teach young children
Excellent communication skills
Teachers College graduate student
Ability to make a full preschool year, 5 days-a-week commitment

Hours range from 28-29 hours a week, to 23-24 hours a week.

Preferred Qualifications:
Classroom teaching experience with young children
Ability to make a two year commitment

Salary to be determined; position includes some Teachers College tuition exemption. All positions are part-time.
