For Masters Students in Bilingual Education (Amigos NYC)

| April 15, 2016
My name is Beth Pierson and I am a currently a board member for New York City Chapter of Amigos de las Americas, a leader in international youth development in Latin America.
Our board is looking to hire a paid part-time Volunteer Recruitment Coordinator to help us bring in more NYC-based volunteers for our summer programs in 2017. We thought this might be an interesting opportunity for a student in your Master’s program who is focusing on bilingual education (particularly Spanish) and who is passionate about international exchange, language development, and travel.
I have attached the 2-page job description –>(Amigos Recruitment Coordinator Job) and I was hoping you could share this with students in your Spanish teaching program. Please check out our website (linked above) or read the brief description pasted below for more information.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any addition questions.

Amigos description: AMIGOS’ program participants spend 4-8 weeks living in rural Latin America over the summer and working with other US students and Latin American peers to design and lead community projects related to areas such as: public health, children’s rights, and environmental sustainability. AMIGOS’ programs give young people the opportunity to take on real-world challenges and build responsibility while living like a local, not a tourist.
