Bilingual Office Manager for The Equity Project Charter School

The Equity Project (TEP) Charter School (www.tepcharter.org), a 480-student Washington Heights middle school featured in The New York Times and on 60 Minutes, is seeking a Bilingual Office Manager with the skills, experience and energy to be the backbone of our school’s day-to-day operations.

The individual will embrace the vision of TEP by setting the highest standard of excellence for himself/herself and by proactively identifying challenges and solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

v  Provide excellent customer service to all students, their families and other visitors.

v  Direct outgoing school communication via mailers, newsletters, etc.

v  Manage procurement of office supplies; maintain the main office, including printers and copiers.

v  Organize various school events, such as parent teacher conferences, open houses, concerts, etc.

v  Serve as an administrative support for TEP’s Parent Association

v  Implement various special projects including Photo Day, Vision Screening,  and Family Surveys.

v  Enter and maintain data in various Student Information Systems

v  Support the student recruitment process by collecting applications, enrolling students, etc.

Qualifications:

TEP Charter School’s Office Manager should have at least 2 years of experience, complete Spanish fluency and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook. A Bachelor’s degree is required.

Accountability:

The Office Manager reports to the Operations Manager and receives an annual evaluation based on performance of job responsibilities and progress towards meeting specific objectives set at the beginning of each school year.

Compensation:

The Office Manager earns a competitive salary commensurate with experience. The position includes a full benefits package including medical, vision, dental and 403b retirement plan, as well as approximately 8 weeks of vacation time.
